Triad chords were the basis for Hendrix's style they gave him the opening ability to improvise which made him extremely innovative in his career. He felt that music to. Hendrix was truly a masterpiece to us in his own right.

That rhythm is infused with Hendrix techniques. The triads is what makes it possible. Hendrix manipulated the scale with minor and major scales at the same time. The triad chords was his go to.

Fantastic, I'm sure many would appreciate a more detailed followup lesson. There is another live version Clapton did with Nathan East on vocals that is also amazing.

Thank you for the great tutorial. It is the 2n that I've viewed on youtube The first threw me with an Em chord that, on the original recording doesn't sound like an Em chord. You teach us that it is an E7. Thank you twice. Question: is the G diminished "passing chord" actually an E7/G# with the root either implied or played by a different instrument? I do have a music theory background, however, my question is something that I've asked guitar players before and, mostly, I get blank stare responses :) To me, it seems that the chorus modulates to A minor from C major. Thus, the E7 is logical whereas, G#dim is ignoring the actual harmonic foundation at play. My intent is not to suggest that you've taught us wrong! Rather, I believe that you may have a clear answer for me. Thanks very much, sir. Liked and subscribed!

This doesn't sound correct. The last note of the intro riff on the 5th string sounds like it should be a higher note.

That long slide part - did Jimmy use a glass slide --or his long finger ?

What gauge strings do you have on that tele?

for "the run" section as u call it, couldnt you slide from 6 to 5, then play a 3 and hammer on to the 5 to produce the exact same if not similar sound?
